HOW XPOSCROLL WORKS
The unique feature of XPOSCROLL is real-time control of automated scrolling using a nonlinear rate curve. This exponential curve provides the user with the ability to efficiently and accurately navigate the stacked image set, optimizing the combination of speed and precision. The XPOSCROLL function is easily activated and deactivated as needed, incorporating naturally into the scrolling process.
There is an added benefit of a dual rate curve option. The standard rate curve (XPO1) works well with most exams. A second faster rate curve (XPO2) was developed which functions best with larger image sets such as CT angiograms. |
The table above lists the scroll rates in frames/sec per wheel click and the graph illustrates the two rate curves.
The graph below shows the parabolic shapes of the combined forward and reverse scrolling rate curves.
This highlights XPOSCROLL's key feature of controllable acceleration/deceleration of image set navigation, providing the radiologist with the ability to essentially "drive" through the images.
